The Varsity

The Varsity program is available to all athletes to design sport- and position-specific workouts to minimize the risk of injury and to improve athletic performance. This program was created to provide individualized workouts that will increase an athlete's skill level for his or her particular sport. Not only will this program increase an athlete's strength and confidence, it will also increase the athlete's chance of athletic scholarship, minimize risk of athletic injury, and provide education in how your athlete can perform with better biomechanics.

The Varsity package can be tailored to fit your child's individual interests. Your athlete will receive an initial evaluation by a physical therapist that has been trained in the sports arena and understands how sport injuries occur and how they may be prevented. This assessment will determine areas of weakness and goals for improvement. Our sports savvy professionals will then design a custom workout regimen focusing on your child's individual needs. One type of customized workout for a baseball pitcher or football quarterback may be to incorporate rotator cuff strengthening exercises to prevent injury. Rotator cuff injuries are one of the leading causes of missed games in the baseball pitching position. If your child is a female basketball or soccer player, plyometric exercises would be implemented to reduce her risk of knee injuries, such as tearing her ACL.
